Rize University on 17 March 2006 and published in Official Gazette No. 26111 was established by law for the establishment of 15 new universities entered into force. Rize University while connected ktü`y as the foundation transferred to itself Arts and Sciences, Fisheries, Theology, Nut Job Training Faculty, Faculty of Medicine with Rize Vocational High School, Ardeşen Vocational School, Vocational College of Health and Science, consists of the Institute of Social and Health Sciences. Rize University of Science and Social Sciences is the case with the existing structure a weighted universities. In terms of Engineering and Technical Sciences it is planned to be developed with the new school.
