In 1966, Ankara University Medical School opened in Diyarbakir learning within the School of Medicine, was the foundation of today's Dicle University. Diyarbakir students transferring it continued its activities in 1969 as a faculty of Ankara University, and with the opening of the Faculty of Science and Technology University was founded in 1974 in Diyarbakir actually. 2547 Higher Education after the entry into force of the Law No. 41 issued in 1982 in accordance with the Decree of the name was changed to the University of Diyarbakir Dicle University. It was established by Decree Law Faculty of Law and Faculty of Engineering and Architecture inherited from the Ministry of Education in conjunction with the School is attached to Dicle University. Then at the University of the Tigris, Mardin Vocational School 1988-1989 academic year, 1990-1991 academic year, the Health Services Vocational School, the academic year 1992-1993 has entered into service at Atatürk Health Services Vocational School. Then Bismil, Batman Cermik and depending on our University's settlement was deemed appropriate establishment of new vocational college. 11.07.1992 Date issued in 3837 by the Law of our university, which were under Sanliurfa Faculty of Agriculture, Sanliurfa Vocational newly connected to the Harran University, and due to our University of Agriculture, under the name of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Theology has seen fit to establish three new faculty. Founded in Bismil and Cermik with these faculty established in the province of Batman School Health Services Vocational School he started its activities in the 1993-1994 academic year. Founded in previous years, the Sirnak Vocational School was put into service in the 1995-1996 academic year. In addition to current faculty and our School 1997-1998 academic year in Diyarbakir, Siirt and Mardin in the Health Sciences, Ergani and this is the Cungus was put into service by opening a vocational school. Later in the academic year 1998-1999 in Diyarbakir Physical Education and Sports School, and in the 1999-2000 academic year it was opened in Batman Technical Education Faculty. Also in conjunction with the Civil Aviation School in Diyarbakır State Conservatory it was established. State Conservatory was put into operation in the 2002-2003 academic year. In the academic year 2002-2003 of Siirt Siirt Vocational With the opening today of Dicle University in the body; 11 faculties, 11 vocational colleges, 5 schools, 1 conservatory, 3 institutes, 8 Application and Research Center is located 1 Training and Research Hospital.
